Dustin Whitney’s Contribution to AON’s Whitepaper
Virtually all industries are struggling with labor shortages today. AON is a large insurance company with several business segments. I’ve been working with their Strategy and Technology Group (https://www.aon.com/en/capabilities/strategy-and-technology-group) to help introduce AI based productivity tools. My insights on labor force dynamics and the shifting demographic landscape facing companies today help to establish the foundational market need for their product. This whitepaper demonstrates that insurance claims professionals are in high demand and despite big increases in wages, the industry is not attracting needed talent and is facing unmet needs.
Recruitment efforts cannot overcome the effects of a declining working age population. Businesses need to understand what’s going on around them. They need to pivot and adapt in order to succeed and build resilience.
